2. You are actually doing your little bit towards saving our planet. Every year around the world more than 1,000 million (1 billion) ink cartridges are used. Of these around 85% of empty or part empty ones will end up in landfill sites. These cartridges along with the remaining ink inside them contain chemicals that are hazard to the environment. In fact the actual plastic used to make the cartridges themselves is an engineering grade polymer and according to some figures they will take more than 1,000 years to decompose.
